Catrin Webster

This was an amazing lecture. I managed to listen to the first part, but as it coincided with the Print Project week and was delivered online, I couldn’t concentrate. The studio was busy with everyone making, and my head just wasn’t into it.

Fortunately, the lecture had been recorded, so I was able to rewatch it later.

Webster, C. (1997-98). Rome Paintings 1. [water-colour on paper] 122 by 152 cm, https://catrinwebster.com/project/rome-series/

I wish I had researched Webster’s work and her references before my field trip… it could have proved useful.

But there again…. At least I wasn’t trying to ‘fit’ the gathering of information into a ‘practice’ that wasn’t mine.

With hindsight I can see the value of her reference to John Wiley…. It’s on my ‘must read’ list.
