Printing the jacket 2

It’s all about the size. I don’t want to ‘chop’ the image into sections so I am going to etch a ‘big’ plate in Copper Sulphate.

This isn’t the best idea as I really do like Nitric Acid. It’s clean and sharp. So testing the Copper Sulphate to etch Steel was essential.

We did this one quiet Monday when Brian and I could concentrate on the process. The recipe was:

  • 200grm Copper Sulphate

  • 200grm Fine table salt

  • 2 litres of water.

Dissolve the mix in one litre of the water, hot
