One to One

Yesterday - Monday I met with Sharon Young from student services.  This followed on from the fabulous lecture she held regarding performance.  

So let’s just be right out honest here.  Performance!!! Am I kidding myself? This seems to be out of my comfort zone.  I could have simply stood up and told the story behind my shaman…. But why should I keep telling the same story.  As Sharon said, what happens if I change the dynamic and invite the audience to participate in what it is I am offering. 

So this has had me thinking and I’m going to alter the whole piece.  I will set up and invite people into a shamanic space. To participate and be part of the performance.  

It’s a scary out of control piece but I think I can do it.   I have to re-write the script and I can make it fathomable…. I can make it excitingly mine.  It’s a moment to test to step beyond and to try something very new.
