Creating the Pattern

An integral part of my Research Festival piece is my pattern pieces. The intention ( see Documentation ) is to create a sewing pattern that has all the elements to make the Shamanic caplet.

So I’ve been mulling over how to get this onto my Swedish Tracing paper. I want to use this paper because it has all the properties of what I’ve printed in for the Sisters and it can be sewn together.

In the festival I intend to ‘construct’ this piece using the pattern I print and a hand cranked sewing machine.

Today was all about laser cutting the pattern onto so Enviromount and then print direct to the tracing paper.

In a nutshell it worked. As a test that is. Now I’m going to finesse the elements. Feeling optimistic.
