Iona - Visit No 2
A very hectic trip up to Scotland and the Isle of Iona.
I need to return to take some photographs and touch base with the sacred isle. I literally have four days.
Train journey up on Sunday arrive Monday am.
Cycle Fort William to Oban.
Ferry across to Mull, campsite. Rest.
Cycle across Mull to Fionpphort
Ferry across to Iona, campsite. Work
Sleep….
Visit the Abbey, nunnery and Martyrs Bay.
Sleep….
Cycle…. Ferry… Cycle across Mull… Ferry to Oban… Cycle down Glen Lonan… Cycle back to Oban… Train to Glasgow… Caledonian Sleeper. Home the next morning. Friday
Back to College on Monday!!!
I’m exhausted. The trip was just fantastic, but it was in the middle of a storm such and such. It’s the only time I've had a grab bag sitting at the door of my tent. I really thought it was going to be blown away in gale-force winds and rain.
I LOVED every minute of it.
