What to wear?

What to wear for the private view. I have a plan.  The fabric that I first presented at the group critique in April, when I launched my ideas for the shaman and the sorceress, had been sitting in a bag.

I felt it was a missed opportunity to shape the fabric into a form, but now I had the chance. I decided it would be quite wonderful to create my own dress for the occasion. I knew I wanted a column dress very much in the style of my original idea.

It didn’t take more than an evening and a little bit of hemming on the day, but the dress was ready to wear. What better way to present than to be a wayward sister? The dress not only looked great, because I had a pattern drafted from scratch, but it also fit perfectly.

Perfect fit and I love the map as the design.
