Laser Cutting Spectres

How would the jacket look if I etched it onto acrylic? That is a good question. It has always been part of my multi-plane idea. Preparing the image raised some interesting questions.

The actual effect of the etching worked well. However, this is on a small scale. If I wanted to create this at a much larger size, I would be tying up the cutter for several hours. If I were determined to do this, I'm sure that could have been arranged.

However, at this stage, it was one step towards exploring which medium and process would serve my image best. Also, it's very mechanical and precise. What you see is what you get. I'm not convinced that this is the direction I wanted to take.
